The Institute was established in 1964 with 160 seats of trainees. Now Institute has intake capacity of 1092 seats of trainees. Nowadays technology is upgraded. Institute is acting and taking keen interest to prepare skilled trainees as demanded by various industries. From a seedling it has developed now to a huge banyan tree This institute imparts training in vocational job oriented courses. This institute has been awarded the certificate of ISO: 9001–2000. Institute has also imparted Centre of Excellence of Electrical Sector from March-2006. So trainee gets various types of skill i.e. Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical and Computer.
